Jamie Tippett is a NYC-based theatrical sound designer and engineer.
They are particularly interested in sound design for musical theater and the integration of new technologies into sound design.
They are a graduate of Stanford University, where they received a B.A. in Theater & Performance Studies and a B.S. in Sound Engineering (Indiv. Designed Major in Engineering).

Assistant Production Audio, Summer 2021
Production Audio for two shows of 3-show season.
Worked with designers to create and execute creative solutions for outdoor and site-specific work.
Managed and scheduled multiple teams in parallel to ensure a smooth load-in and tech process.
Managed sound department inventory & coordinated additional video rental.

Front of House mixer for 5 shows. Mixed line-by-line, took sound cues and maintained equipment.
A2 for mainstage musical with >20 channels of wireless including IEMs
Mixer and engineer for Late Night at the Hangar cabaret series—supported the show being amplified for the first time
American Repertory Theatre

Participated in a complete system install and tuning of new repertory system from Meyer Sound
Terminated (Phoenix, XLR, Powercon), bundled, and ran cable for system install
Participated in load-in and shadowed technical rehearsals for first two shows of season.
